ROCHESTER - A Maine woman was sent to the hospital as a precaution after a three-vehicle crash near Martin's Drive-In Wednesday afternoon.

Police, firefighters and emergency personnel responded around 5:14 p.m. to the intersection of Flat Rock Bridge Road and Milton Road - Route 125 - after a southbound 2005 Honda CRV, driven by Tyler Lowell, 17, of Rochester, struck the rear of a 2009 Toyota Highlander, driven by Qiu Yu Gao, 37, of Rochester.

The force of the impact pushed the Highlander into a 1999 Dodge Caravan, driven by Sandra McCabe, 53, of Springvale, Maine, which was stopped in traffic attempting to make a left-hand turn onto Flat Rock Bridge Road, according to police. Paramedics transported McCabe, who suffered non-life threatening injuries, to Frisbie Memorial Hospital.

All vehicles suffered moderate damage but were driven from the scene. Milton Road remained open throughout the investigation, which remains ongoing.
