Bar association names president
CONCORD - Attorney Russell F. Hilliard was recently named president of the New England Bar Association at its 42ndáannual conference held in Woodstock, Vt.
A partner with Upton & Hatfield, Hilliard focuses on commercial and insurance litigation, professional discipline and alternative dispute resolution, representing businesses, municipalities and individual professionals. He is a past president of the New Hampshire Bar Association and past chairman of the New Hampshire Bar Foundation.
Camerino joins board of Franklin Pierce
Steven V. Camerino of the law firm McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton was elected to serve on Franklin Pierce University's Board of Trustees. Franklin Pierce University's residential undergraduate program is located in Rindge. Its College of Graduate and Professional Studies operates programs at six locations in Rindge, Concord, Portsmouth, Manchester and West Lebanon, and in Goodyear, Ariz.
Camerino will serve a four-year term.
Perrella joins accounting firm
Alison S. Perrella, CPA of Bedford, recently joined the public accounting firm of Howe, Riley & Howe, PLLC, located in Manchester. Perrella has been a practicing CPA for more tha 25 years and a sole practitioner since 1990.
She will join Howe, Riley & Howe, PLLC as a principal, bringing to the firm her tax planning and compliance services for businesses, individuals and trusts.
Cote joins Norton Insurance
PORTSMOUTH - Roberta L. Cote, CIC, has joined Norton Insurance Agency as premier client practice manager. Cote will create custom personal lines and commercial insurance solutions geared toward the complexity associated with risk profiles of high net worth individuals.
Cote has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. She most recently served as vice president at USI Insurance Services.
Plante named deputy director of lottery
CONCORD - Lynda E. Plante of Concord has been named deputy director of the New Hampshire Lottery. In this new position, Plante will assist the executive director in management and day-to-day operations of the lottery.
Prior to joining the lottery, Plante was director of business operations, underwriting and new business at Lincoln Financial Group in Concord.
Hefele honored by Merrimack
CONCORD - Merrimack County Savings Bank honored Robin Hefele of Dunbarton its employee Star of the Month award for August.
Hefele is a government loan underwriter at the 503 South Street (Bow) Branch. She received the peer-nominated award for her excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and tireless dedication.
Jeannotte named top broadcaster
MANCHESTER - Jim Jeannotte, host of Granite State Challenge and "The Voice" of University of New Hampshire sports, was named the 2012 Broadcaster of the Year by the New Hampshire Association of Broadcasters. The award was presented at the association's Annual Granite Mikes awards night on Oct. 18 at Southern New Hampshire University.
