CONCORD - Radio station WTPL-FM 107.7 kicks off a 33-hour live "Radio Journal'' today focusing on poverty and hunger, with the intent to help stock the shelves at the New Hampshire Food Bank.
The third annual "Hunger Hurts in NH'' food drive is something that the New Hampshire-owned Great Eastern Radio company is doing, said general sales manager Shelly Breer, because "we haven't lost sight of what's going on in our state and how we can use (our) broadcast resources to help make a difference.''
The broadcast continues through Thursday.
Great Eastern Radio owns broadcast facilities in Bow, Lebanon and Keene.
