Nashua man arrested for motel robbery

NASHUA - A local man is under arrest, accused in the armed robbery of a motel clerk last August.

Christopher Wathen, 27, of 19 Chandler St., Apt. 114, was arrested Wednesday morning for armed robbery, a class A felony.

He is accused of the Aug. 26 robbery of the Extended Stay at Marriot, 2000 Southwood Drive.

The robber was described as a tall, thin white man who had masked his face and pulled a large knife on the motel clerk.

What's next: Wathen is being held on $50,000 cash/surety bail pending arraignment Thursday in 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District Division.
