Matching grants fuel Granite State exports

CONCORD - A program designed to help small and medium-sized New Hampshire companies extend and expand into international markets will receive applications through Dec. 10.
The New Hampshire Matching Grant program, offered through the state's International Trade Resource Center, offers up to $5,000, per company, in a cash match. The aim of the grant is to encourage Granite State companies to increase their exports, by helping them to research overseas markets, comply with trade regulations and take part in trade missions.
"The matching grant program helps companies to be successful in the foreign marketplace, whether they are already involved in exporting or making their first foray," said Tina Kasim, program manager for the NHITRC.
The program is funded through the Small Business Administration's State Trade and Export Promotion grant. In its second year, New Hampshire received nearly $300,000.
The application process is competitive.
Application forms are available at ExportNH.org and are due Dec. 10.

A webinar outlining the application process will be conducted at 10 a.m. today. Register under the events calendar at ExportNH.org.
