Concord police seek man for donation can theft

CONCORD - Concord Police have issued a photo of the man they say is responsible for taking a charity's donation can off the counter of a convenience store Nov. 17. They are asking for the public's help in locating him.

Thomas Burke, 29, of Concord, is suspected in the theft from the Irving (Circle K) gas station. An arrest warrant has been issued for him.

Burke is described as 6 feet tall and 220 pounds with blond spiked hair. There have been multiple sightings of Burke in the Concord area. He is wanted by Concord police for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, a class B felony.

Surveillance photos of the theft were widely distributed after the incident.

The public is asked to notify their local police department if they have contact with or know the whereabouts of Burke.
