Senior linebacker Matt Evans added 11 tackles to increase and conclude his UNH career-best total of 460. He passed Steve Doig (1978-81) who had 434 tackles earlier in the season.
Manny Asam led the Wildcats with 12 tackles and freshman Hayden Knudson ha 11.
Redshirt freshman quarterback Sean Goldrich completed 17 of his 29 passes for 113 yards and had two interceptions.
Andy Vailas, the sophomore out of Bedford and Bishop Guertin of Nashua completed 4 of 9 passes for 52 yards.
Sophomore Nico Steriti rushed 11 times for 51 yards and finished the season with 921 yards rushing.
Wofford coach Mike Ayers cited the play of his defense: "We were sloppy with the ball and kind of gave them a chance to get back in it. The defense answered the bell. The ability to put pressure in the quarterbacks was huge."
The Terriers had five quarterback sacks among their 10 tackles for loss.
UNH Football Notebook: Wildat receiver RJ Harris stands out for UNH in playoff
SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Sophomore wide receiver R.J. Harris provided some of the few offensive highlights for the UNH offense in Saturday's 23-7 loss to Wofford.
He had 11 catches for 78 yards and became the fifth Wildcat, and first since Mike Boyle of Plymouth in 2008, to go over 1,000 yards receiving for the season.
He finished the season with 84 receptions and 1,059 yards.
The 84 are fourth best in a season behind David Ball years of 93 on 2006, 87 in 2005 and 86 in 2004. The yardage total is sixth best in a season in school history. Ball holds the top two and fifth spots. He had 1,551 n 2005 and 1,504 in 2004.
