New Haven Register: ISO-NE spending increase is too high

In the last four years, the independent system operatorís budget has gone up 34 percent. Since its founding, its staff has grown from 180 to 563 proposed for next year. Of its present 524 workers, 275 are paid more than $100,000 annually. In addition, they receive merit bonuses that last year averaged 9 percent of their base pay.
