Marketing firm raises funds for nonprofit
MANCHESTER - Marketing agency wedu is using social media to promote its fundraising drive for four local nonprofits.
For the fourth year the company has created festive displays for its palladium windows facing Middle Street. The agency selected four local nonprofit organizations that stand to benefit from "votes" for their respective windows.
David's House Inc., Manchester Animal Shelter, Special Olympics of New Hampshire and YMCA of Greater Manchester's Youth Opportunities Unlimited Program each will receive $250 from wedu if their windows receive at least 250 votes on Facebook. After a week of voting, the animal shelter's "Reindeer Workout" and the YMCA's "Elf Sourcing" have surpassed 250 votes.
The charity to generate the most total votes by 5 p.m. Dec. 16 will receive an additional $500 donation from wedu, as well as a $2,000 agency credit for creative work.
To vote for your favorite window or charity, or for more about the holiday-themed app, visit: https://www.facebook.com/weduinc/app_374129202676058.
The holiday window displays can be viewed in person in front of wedu's office at 20 Market St. in downtown Manchester.
