Insurance adviser reaches milestone
Charlie Massin, president of the Frank Massin Agency in Fitzwilliam and the Fortin Agency in New Ipswich, was recently recognized by the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors for his more that 30 years of participation in advanced education.
Massin was among the first group of CICs to reach this 30-year milestone.
Law firm launches data security team
MANCHESTER - The Bernstein Shur law firms has launched its Data Security Team to provide clients with legal and technical support before and after a data security breach.
Attorney Tony Perkins, a shareholder and chair of the firm's Business Law Practice Group, is part of the six-person team of attorneys.
Other members are Mike Bosse, chair of the Construction Law Practice Group and member of the Litigation Group; Dan Mitchell, member of the Business Law Practice Group and Litigation Group; Jack Montgomery, chair of the Energy Law Practice Group and member of the Litigation Group; Asha Echeverria, member of the Energy Law Practice Group, Environmental and Natural Resources Practice Group, Construction Law Practice Group and Litigation Group; and Josh Silver, member of the Business Law Practice Group and Intellectual Property and Technology Practice Group.
Financial group marks 125th year
MANCHESTER - Northwestern Mutual, the Northern New England Financial Group is celebrating its 125th anniversary of doing business in New Hampshire. As part of the celebration, the organization is honoring seven employees for longstanding service: R. Bradley Alderfer, Tom Bishop, Robert S. Blood, Quinn Hogan, James Lovell, Craig A. Moquin and Richard Rawlings.
Alderfer has 17 years of service; Bishop, 34; Blood, 32 years; Hogan, 30; Lovell, 23; Moquin,29; and Rawlings, 42.
Cracker Barrel names store manager
LONDONDERRY - Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Inc. has promoted Jeffrey Wall to general manager of its Londonderry location at Interstate 93 and Route 102.
He has been with the company since September 2009, most recently as a manager in Tewksbury, Mass.
Representative gains recognition
MANCHESTER - Northwestern Mutual is honoring Gregory M. Telge, a Manchester-based financial representative, with membership into its 2012 Forum group, which recognizes an outstanding year of helping people achieve financial security.
Telge, affiliated with the Christensen Network Office in Manchester, joins representatives from across the country who have qualified for this honor.
Bank branch manager employee of month
CONCORD - Joseph Paredez, assistant branch manager at the Merrimack County Saving Bank's 89 N. Main St. (Main Office) Branch, has received the Employee STAR of the Month award for October.
One of the 12 monthly prizewinners will go on to win the annual STAR Award, which includes a paid vacation day and cash prize.
Assn. for the Blind board officers elected
CONCORD - The New Hampshire Association for the Blind's directors have elected Susan Manchester, Amherst, as board chairperson; Randy Pierce, Nashua. vice chairperson; Tom Pare, Salem, treasurer; and Gracie Cilley, Laconia, secretary.
The association has been serving Granite State residents for more than a century.
Partner interviewed in Wall St. Journal
PORTSMOUTH - Andy Lord, founder and managing partner of Essential Planning, llc, a Portsmouth-based financial advisory firm, was recently featured by The Wall Street Journal .
Lord was interviewed on the subject of long-term care case design. At issue was a technique which he has used with clients to deal with, and in some cases prevent in advance, sharp increases in the clients' premiums.
Attorney receives Middleton award
MANCHESTER - The law firm of McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton has present John Weaver of Portsmouth its eighth annual Jack B. Middleton Pro Bono Legal Services Award.
Weaver, an associate in McLane's Corporate Department, spent more than 145 hours on two pro bono cases, showing a dedication to not only the legal needs of his clients, but also such basic needs as personally driving one client to medical appointments..
In addition to his client service, Weaver serves on the board of Pro Portsmouth and chairs the Government Affairs Committee for the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce.
