Dyn expands headquarters in England with investor cash
MANCHESTER - A Manchester-based Internet service company is expanding its Europe, Middle East and African (EMEA) headquarters in England, which it recently moved from London to Brighton.
Dyn Inc., with offices on Dow Street, offers DNS and email services to clients around the world. The company has received widespread attention for its rapid growth, new investors and employee culture, particularly the design and amenities of its offices in the Manchester Millyard.
The company recently received an infusion of $38 million in investment capital from North Bridge Venture Partners in Waltham, Mass., and announced Monday that it will use part of that investment to expand the EMEA headquarters.
"Our original EMEA office was in London, but we soon discovered that Brighton was much more our style," said Adam Coughlin, media relations manager at the Manchester office. "Like Manchester, it is a city full of exciting possibilities."
The company moved its offices from London to Brighton earlier this year. "We are now trying to make that office similar to our Manchester HQ, but with a British twist," said Coughlin. "We're looking to grow that team in 2013."
The Brighton office grew from three staffers to 20 in the past year.
"Dyn is a company with a global reach, so it only makes sense to have an active and vibrant presence overseas," said Phil Akilade, EMEA regional manager. The company also has an office in San Francisco.
