Are patients at Effingham brain injury center out of control? Whistleblowers say so
EFFINGHAM — Whistleblowers from Lakeview Neurorehabilitation Center say the center is too understaffed to prevent the people in its care from becoming a danger to themselves or others.
Their concerns are echoed by law enforcement officials and a next-door neighbor of the facility. Last week, a Lakeview receptionist said the facility's executive director, Thomas Horan, would not take calls from the media.
