NH fugitive arrested in Bay State
CONCORD - Adalberto Miranda, a former Nashua man who was featured today as the U.S. Marshals' Fugitive of the Week, was arrested this morning at a relative's home in Methuen, Mass.
Miranda, 33, was wanted for a federal parole violation on his original conviction of distributing crack cocaine. According to a U.S. Marshals' news release, Miranda was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force from both New Hampshire and Massachusetts, which included U.S. deputy marshals and officers from the Belknap and Hillsborough County sheriff's offices and the Cambridge, Mass., Police Department.
Law enforcement officers were searching for Miranda since Nov. 30 for federal supervised released violations. He was arrested without incident Thursday morning at a relative's home on Phillips Street in Methuen and transported directly to U.S. District Court for an initial court appearance.
He was arrested just as the "Fugitive of the Week" feature, which is publicized in various media including the New Hampshire Union Leader, was being broadcast on WTPL-FM radio.
