McLane picks Samuels as managing director
MANCHESTER - The McLane Law Firm expanded its leadership team by naming Dick Samuels as managing director, the firm announced.
Samuels, a shareholder and director since 1987, has been elected to the post for the next three years.
Samuels concentrates his practice at the nearly 100-year-old firm in corporate governance, corporate transactions and securities regulation. He will continue in his practice but will devote significant time to management and strategic efforts, the firm said in a release.
Michael McCluskey, who as executive director has been in charge of firm administration and business operations, will continue in his role with the addition of a managing director. The management committee will also continue to advise the firm's policies and long-term direction.
"The hybrid model with shared management responsibilities between a dedicated managing director and executive director has proven successful for many regional firms of our size," said Joe Foster, chair of the firm's management committee. "We believe this is the right direction for our firm at this point, and have no doubt that Dick Samuels is the right person for the job."
