NASHUA - Rivier University is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Kurt W. Stimeling as vice president for student affairs.

Stimeling comes to Rivier as an experienced student affairs officer, currently serving for the last six years as dean of students at Clarkson University, Potsdam, N.Y. Prior to that appointment, he served as associate dean of students at St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minn. and assistant dean of students at Colorado College, Colorado Springs, Colo. Stimeling holds a master of science from Illinois State University and a bachelor of arts from St. Olaf College.

"I am delighted to announce that Kurt W. Stimeling has accepted Rivier's invitation to serve as vice president for student affairs," said Sister Paula Marie Buley, IHM, Rivier's president. "His broad experience in student affairs includes residence life, student programming, facility development and campus security. Most especially, he has demonstrated a commitment to student learning, leadership and development within a faith-based community."

"We are looking forward to welcoming Kurt Stimeling to Rivier," said Paula Randazza, assistant vice president of student affairs. "His extensive knowledge and past experience will surely be beneficial in all facets of student affairs planning and programming here at the university."
