NH hits $5 billion mark in lottery ticket sales since 1964
"With last month's record Powerball jackpot and the improvements we've made to our Instant ticket program, we are proud to say that lottery ticket sales continue to skyrocket- and especially did so over the holiday," said Charlie McIntyre, lottery executive director. "Ultimately it's the school children of New Hampshire that benefit the most, as the lottery has contributed more than $1.5 billion toward education since it began."
According to the lottery, for fiscal year 2013, instant ticket sales are up more than 11 percent over last year and Powerball tickets are up more than 53 percent.
