A New England College tutor from Epsom has been indicted on charges of sexual assault after being accused of molesting a child, according to court documents.

Deborah Furst, 58, was first indicted in September for aggravated felonious sexual assault, with three new indictments coming down in late December due to "new information" from the victim.

According to court documents, the incidents allegedly occurred over a five and a half year period.

Furst says she is completely innocent.

"My client strongly and vociferously denies the allegations, and she has cooperated at every level with every investigation," said Furst's attorney, Robert Hunt of Seufert, Davis and Hunt.

"One of our positions is that in the statements which were given by the child, some of the allegations appear to be physically impossible, and also many of the child's statements directly contradict other statements," said Hunt. "They were also given with great lengths of time in between."

The indictments accuse Furst of having sexually abused the child at various locations habitually between January 2006 and October 2010 and for a specific incident between November 2010 and November 2012.

Furst was released on $20,000 personal recognizance bail. A "non-contact" order was set as a condition of Furst's bail, precluding her from being within 100 feet of the victim.

A New England College official confirmed that Furst is an employee of the college and was put on voluntary administrative paid leave Jan. 3 when the college "first learned of the charges."

She would speak no further on the case, however, stating: "Out of respect for external processes and internal protocol, matters regarding college personnel are kept confidential."

Furst will be arraigned at the Merrimack County Superior Court on Jan . 16.
