CONCORD - Manchester lawyer Lisa Biron put her hands over her ears Wednesday as jurors in Biron's child pornography and sexual exploitation trial in U.S. District Court saw and heard a video featuring her and a 14-year-old girl.
Earlier, the teen's father had wept as he listened to - but did not watch - a portion of the tape in order to identify the voices of his daughter and Biron.
Biron is charged with one count of transportation with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, six counts of child exploitation involving the camera and cell phone capture of the teen engaged in sexual activity, and one of possession of child pornography.
Biron is accused of transporting the young teen to Canada so the girl could have sex with a young man and of persuading the girl to have the sexual acts there recorded, as well as others in Biron's Manchester residence between July and September 2012.
One of the exploitation charges alleges Biron recorded herself engaged in sexual activity with the girl.
Prosecution witnesses included two young men, one of whom said he met the victim online before Biron brought the girl to a hotel in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, over Memorial Day weekend 2012.
Kevin Watson, 20, testified: "(Biron) said that we could make a porno." Watson testified that he also engaged in sexual activity with Biron during the weekend.
Brandon Ore, 18, testified he was living in Merrimack last July when he responded to an ad on Craig's List: "2 girls looking to party - 18 and 33."
Ore said after numerous sexual encounters with Biron and the teen, some of which Biron used her cell phone to record, he moved into Biron's home.
He said he and the teen were girlfriend-boyfriend. But in September, he said, another man moved in and Ore moved out. It was then that Ore went to Manchester police and told them what he had done and what he said Biron had done.
Biron was initially charged with felony possession of child pornography by Manchester Police, but the FBI took over the investigation and the charges were transferred to U.S. District Court.
In his opening argument Wednesday, U.S. Attorney John Kacavas said Biron was a pot pusher, pornography producer and predator who considered the teen "an object, a thing."
The prosecution has one more witness to present and closing arguments are expected today.
