Early morning fire destroys Madison home
Assistant chief Richard Clark of the Madison Fire Department said the house was fully involved and the occupants out when firefighters arrived on the scene shortly before 6:30 a.m.
As of 11:30 a.m., firefighters were still at the site, going through the smoky ruins and putting out hot spots.
The fire departments of Conway, North Conway, Redstone, Center Conway, Freedom and West Ossipee assisted the Madison Fire Department, with the Tamworth Fire Department providing station coverage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
