Mother says she has evidence vindicating son convicted in murder-for-hire plot
Lorraine Brooks is seeking a new trial for her son, Jesse Brooks, and has enlisted a team of investigators on his behalf.
Jesse Brooks is serving 15 to 30 years in prison for his role in recruiting hired killers to lure Jack Reid Sr. to a Deerfield farm where he was beaten to death. Jesse's father, John Brooks, was convicted of capital murder in Reid's death and is serving life in prison without chance of parole.
The press conference is scheduled for Monday at the Holiday Inn in Manchester.
