EPPING - An Epping town dump worker who resigned earlier this week is now charged with raping a teenage girl.
Donald Tilbe, 46, of 74 Railroad Ave., Epping, was arraigned Friday on two counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault.
Tilbe is accused of raping a 17-year-old girl at his residence last October and again on Jan. 7, according to the police complaints. The victim is known to him, police said.
Police began investigating Tilbe earlier this month.
In an interview with police, Tilbe admitted that he had sexual relations with the girl on several occasions, police wrote in an affidavit.
Town Administrator Gregory Dodge said Tilbe was an attendant at the town dump for less than a year. He resigned on his own and his resignation was accepted by selectmen Tuesday.
Tilbe was arraigned in the 10th Circuit Court in Brentwood Friday and ordered held on $25,000 cash or corporate surety.
He is due back in court for a probable cause hearing Feb. 1 at 10 a.m.
