N.Y. couple hurt in Dalton snowmobile crash
DALTON - A husband and wife were injured in a single snowmachine crash Sunday afternoon in Dalton.
According to New Hampshire Fish and Game officials, a call was made to New Hampshire State Police Troop F at about 3 p.m. Sunday, reporting a single snowmachine crash on Primary Trail 105.
The operator, Jennifer Lizzol, 44, and a passenger, her husband Michael Lizzol, 47, both of Mastic, N.Y., were injured. The Lizzols rented the snowmachine while staying at a hotel in Whitefield. The couple came over a knoll and lost control of the snowmachine, according to Fish and Game officials.
The Lizzols proceeded to go off the trail and over a stone wall, and the couple was thrown from the machine.
Both Lizzols were transported to Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster for further evaluation and treatment. The severity of injuries were unknown last night, but did not appear to be life threatening, according to officials.
