Most admired person (outside your family): The people that I admire most are the men and women in the U.S. military who make sacrifices to serve our country every day and protect our freedom.

A cue to the diversity of Jessica Beaudet's accomplishments can be found in the fact that according to her she "relaxes" by "being active."

For the 29-year-old Auburn resident, being active means being involved either as a member or in a leadership role with over a half-dozen charities and organizations, including church work, professional networks, and speaking roles.

The 2010 Southern New Hampshire University graduate is currently the recruiting manager for the Nagler Group, an administrative and human resources staffing group serving New Hampshire and Massachusetts. She is also a presenter for N.H. Works on issues of job searching, resume writing, and interviewing.

As a young professional herself, a key concern of Beaudet's is the state's ability to attract and retain young workers. In the 2011 census, New Hampshire was found to be the fourth-oldest state in the union in terms of demographics, with a median age of 41.1 years old. Demographic trends have also shown a steady decline in the state's 20- to 29-year-old population since the 1990s.

"I think that when kids go away to college, the big city life and things like that attract them, and a lot of times they won't come back because New Hampshire kind of has this stigma for being a boring place with not a lot to do for young people. In reality, there's so much to do. We just need to get the word out."

For her part, however, Beaudet could not imagine being anywhere else.

"I love it here," she said. "It's really hard to imagine living anywhere else. I just love the area. There's so much to do. You can go to the city, go to the seacoast, go to the mountains, go camping. I mean really, where can you live where you can do all those things?"

Of her charity work, Beaudet is perhaps most recognized for her position on the board of directors for Bridges, a nonprofit organization based out of Nashua providing free and confidential services to victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence and harassment.

"The core to my heart is everything I do I try to help somebody else," she said. "Everything I'm involved in is something that I'm passionate about. I think just to be a better person, to be out there, be involved and helping other people, that's what life is all about."

Put another way, her brother has said of her for years, "Jessica does way too much, but she does way too much really well."
