HAMPTON – A 35-year-old man has been charged with attempting to intentionally hit a pedestrian with his vehicle while she was walking along Barbour Road on Thursday, police said.
 
 

Brent Pizon, of Hampton, was charged with felony reckless conduct for driving his car at a woman near the area of Little River Road in Hampton, police said.
 
Police were called to Barbour Road about 2:15 p.m. on Thursday for a report of someone trying to hit a pedestrian. The vehicle was described as a green Toyota, and later found by officers at 20 Barbour Road, police said.
 
 
Responding officers spoke to the female victim, who said Pizon had tried to hit her while she was walking on the opposite side of the road, according to police. Another witness provided additional details about the incident, leading to Pizon’s arrest, police said.
 
 
Police said their investigation revealed that Pizon’s actions were not a random incident and that Pizon and the woman knew each other.
 
 
Pizon was taken into custody without incident. He was released on $500 cash bail and $5,000 personal recognizance bail. He is due to appear in 10th Circuit Court for arraignment on March 13.
