Police search for man who robbed Rochester supermarket


ROCHESTER — Police are looking for a man who robbed the Market Basket on Milton Road around 10:30 a.m. Saturday, police said.

 

The man said he had a gun and demanded money from the customer service clerk before fleeing the area with an unspecified amount of money, police said.

 

Police describe the white man as approximately 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds. He was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses and a dark-colored, winter-style hat.

 

Anyone with information is asked to call Rochester police at 330-7127. People also can call the Rochester Crimeline at 335-6500. Crimeline calls remain confidential and information leading to an arrest may lead to a reward.
