More than 30 hurt in Boston bus crash
BOSTON — A bus crashed into the Western Avenue Bridge on the east bound side of Soldiers Field Road just before 8 p.m. Saturday, injuring more than 30 people, police said.
Authorities said 32 people were transported to area hospitals with injuries, with three critically injured. Police said the passengers were students from Pennsylvania on a tour of Harvard.
The bus, a 1996 Calvary Coach Bus out of Philadelphia, carried 42 passengers on board, according to Massachusetts State Police.
Boston firefighters were extracting people from the bus. The eastbound side of Soldiers Field Road was closed and the westbound side has been closed at the Bowker overpass.
