Granite State gymnasts shine in Pennsylvania
Sleven athletes representing the Granite State boys' gymnastics team of Bow participated in the Brian Babcock Invitational Gymnastics Meet held at the Parkettes National Gymnastics Training Facility in Allentown, Pa,
In the Level 10 (Ages 17-18) division, Griffin Antle of Warner finished seventh on pommel horse, eighth on high bar and ninth on parallel bars. In the Level 8 (ages 11-12) division, Jakob Murray of Manchester finished 16th overall with a ninth place finish on vault.
In Level 7 (ages 9-10), Brandon Lee of Candia finished seventh overall with a second place finish on the still rings and a third place finish on the pommel horse.
In the Level 6 (ages 9-10) Mark Galvin of Concord finished 10th overall with seventh place finish on floor and pommel horse.
Other team members in the meet were Jack Kirsch of Concord (Level 10), Charles Lipscomb of Bow (Level 10), Ben Sky of Concord (Level 9, ages 13-14), Brett Provost of Bow (Level 8, ages 11-12), Mattieu Champagne of Hooksett (Level 7), Wylie Sanders of Loudon (Level 6) and Devon Wiggins of Gilmanton (Level 6).
Manchester South L.L. to serve Litchfield, too
Manchester South Little League has announced the expansion of its league to include Litchfield, as well.
Player registrations are set. The fee is $75 for one child. Total for two or more children is $120 total. If you have more than two children to register, the total family payment remains at $120. A late fee will be accessed on registrations received after Saturday of $25.
Two forms of proof of residency as well as a copy of the birth certificate will be required of any new player. South Little League is for boys and girls from Litchfield and Manchester ages 4 to 12.
Boys or girls must turn 4 before April 30 to be eligible to play this season.
Players' birthdays must fall between the following range: May 1, 2000 to April 30, 2009.

Registration dates, at Modell's Sporting Goods on South Willow Street, are as follows: Saturday, Feb. 9, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday, March 2, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Babe Ruth League holding registrations
The Manchester Babe Ruth League for 13-15-year-old players will be holding registration at Indian Head Athletics on Lake Ave. on Thursday from 6-7:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.
Youngsters living in Manchester and Hooksett who were born on or after May 1, 1997 and prior to May 1, 2000 are eligible to play. Registration fee is $100 per player, and $170 for two players from the same family.
The fee includes the uniform shirt that players are allowed to keep at the end of the year.
Newcomers to the league must present a birth certificate for age verification.
