PORTSMOUTH - Three years after helping start the New Hampshire Innovation Commercialization Center in collaboration with the University of New Hampshire, Mark Galvin is stepping down as managing director effective Feb. 28.

Galvin said he will continue to support entrepreneurship by taking a more active role with Regaalo.com, a company that was formed by UNH graduates with initial guidance provided by the NH-ICC startup staff.

"As a startup guy, I'm very happy to have been able to bring UNH and the private sector together to get the Innovation Commercialization Center started," Galvin said in a statement.

With more than a dozen companies at the center now, it needs an executive director "that is better suited to the needs of a growing not-for-profit service business," he said.

Galvin, along with a committee of the NH-ICC board of directors, will be interviewing candidates for the top spot at the NH-ICC this month.
The NH-ICC is dedicated to accelerating the development of early stage, high-technology startups from throughout New England, and to the commercialization of UNH intellectual capital opportunities.
