Sen. Carson named to Liberty Harbor Academy board
CONCORD - State Sen. Sharon Carson, R-Londonderry, was named to the board of trustees of Liberty Harbor Academy in Manchester, an independent high school.
Dr. Julianne Cooper, the school's president and dean, called Carson "an extremely valuable resource who will help us navigate state regulations and keep us informed regarding the top policy issues related to education in New Hampshire."
Carson, a three-term senator, said she was extremely honored.
"I care deeply about every child getting an education that works for them and sets them on a path for a great future. Liberty Harbor is innovative and has an approach that produces independent thinkers. I'm particularly impressed by the curriculum that stresses the classics, critical thinking and real-world experience," she said.
