Slippery conditions cause minor crash on Route 125 in Milton Monday

MILTON – Two people were taken to the hospital after a car slipped into the back of a tractor-trailer truck near Index Packaging Monday afternoon.

Police, firefighters and emergency personnel responded around 3:30 p.m. after a southbound Oldsmobile struck the back of the truck, which was turning into the company's property on Milton Road, Route 125.

"Based on the information we have, it was due to the weather," Cpl. Evan Favorite said, adding it's possible the driver of the Oldsmobile had been too close to the back of the truck given the slick conditions.

Milton Ambulance transported two people from the Oldsmobile to Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Favorite said no charges are expected.
