CONCORD - Residents have nothing to fear Wednesday morning if they see law enforcement officers and firefighters at New Hampshire Hospital: It is only a drill.

From 8 a.m. to noon, members of State Police, the Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, Concord police and fire, and the New Hampshire Hospital Association will be taking part in "Code Silver," a readiness drill dealing with a hostage situation.

State and local authorities are practicing how they would respond to that kind of incident and how they would work together to resolve it peacefully.

The hospital is alerting the public to the event and the increased police presence so no one will think it is a real emergency.
