Vans comes to Salem, Nashua malls

Vans, an action sports retailer, is coming to Pheasant Lane Mall and The Mall at Rockingham Park this spring, according to mall owner Simon Property Group.

Vans is set to open at Pheasant Lane Mall and The Mall at Rockingham Park on March 8.

Vans, which opened is first store in 1966 in Anaheim, Calif., operates more than 260 stores in the United States, Europe, Asia and South America. Its product line includes advanced skate shoes, apparel, casual shoes and sandals,

At Pheasant Lane Mall, Vans, will be located on Level 1 near Pandora. At The Mall at Rockingham Park, Vans, will be located on Level 2 near Lord & Taylor.

New stores coming to Mall of NH

Apparel retailers francesca's and P.S. from Aéropostale and tea company Teavana are scheduled to open in March at the Mall of New Hampshire in Manchester.

Mall owner Simon Property Group said francesca's will open near Center Court, P.S from Aéropostale will be located between Macy's and JCPenney and Teavana will be located near the Gap.

Visiting Angels gets 'Best of Homecare'

AUBURN - Visiting Angels of Auburn has been recognized with Home Care Pulse's "Best of Home Care" distinction, which is awarded to the top 25 percent of agencies in client and employee satisfaction scores from Home Care Pulse,

Home Care Pulse, a company that measures client and employee satisfaction, created the award to identify agencies in the private duty home care space that demonstrated a passion for client and employee satisfaction, Visiting Angels said in a press release.

Nursing class gets 99 percent pass rate

MANCHESTER - Saint Anselm College's nursing department received high marks in preparing students for the national licensing exam required to become a registered nurse.

The nursing class of 2012 had a 99 percent pass rate on the exam, the National Council Licensure Examination, nine points higher than the national pass rate and the highest rate in the department's history.

"It is one thing to go to college, but the ultimate goal for a nursing student is to pass the NCLEX, to become a registered nurse," said Sharon George, dean of nursing, in a press release.

In recent years, the nursing department has adjusted its curriculum and lectures to focus on the nursing competencies emphasized by NCLEX. Faculty incorporate NCLEX-style questions into their exams, giving nursing students practice at answering them.
