Manchester woman faces identify fraud, drug charges

MANCHESTER - A city woman accused of posing as her roommate and using her roommate's information to obtain 90 Clonazepam pills on her roommate's prescription at Walmart on Keller Street, was arraigned Wednesday in Circuit Court-Manchester District Division on felony charges of identity fraud and possession of a narcotic.

Jennifer Stanioski, 34, of 17 Purdue St., could enter no plea to the felony charges in Circuit Court, so a probable cause hearing was set for Feb. 27.

Stanioski wanted personal recognizance bail, but Judge William Lyons set bail at the $5,000 cash/surety requested by a police prosecutor who said Stanioski has a prior drug possession conviction.

Stanioski is also scheduled to appear in Salem Feb. 29 in connection with a 2012 speeding charge.

Accused of kicking TV

Michael Geraci, 39, of 364 Rimmon St., pleaded innocent Wednesday in Circuit Court-Manchester District Division to a criminal mischief charge that alleges his kicked his girlfriend's television set, breaking it.

Geraci said to Judge William Lyons: "I'm on Social Security Disability. I was hoping you could give me (personal recognizance bail)."

But police prosecutor Capt. Robert Cunha said Geraci was convicted in June 2012 of stalking the same woman and was given a 12-month suspended sentence.

Cunha said Geraci also has a number of Florida convictions and was convicted in 2008 of domestic battery and asked for $5,000 cash/surety bail.

Geraci said most of the Florida convictions were basically one case when he turned 18.

Lyons set bail at $3,000 cash/surety. Trial was set for March 21.

Bail revocation sought

Police prosecutors filed a motion in Circuit Court-Manchester District Division Wednesday to revoke Peter Chagnon's $1,000 surety bail after he allegedly violated bail conditions on a previous charge by committing a new crime.

Chagnon, 42, was arraigned on a stalking charge that alleges he was seen with the woman he is barred from contacting outside the 336 Lake Ave. address he is barred from going to by bail conditions on the earlier charge.

A hearing on the motion to revoke Chagnon's bail is set for this morning. Trial on the stalking charge was set for March 12, the same day as trial on the earlier charge.

Neighbor called police

Rachelle MacDonald, 25, pleaded innocent Wednesday in Circuit Court-Manchester District Division to a stalking charge that alleges she was with her boyfriend in an apartment they had shared at 372 Amherst St., in violation of her bail conditions.

"My neighbor called the cops," MacDonald told Judge William Lyons. But she said of her boyfriend: "He doesn't live there any more."

A police prosecutor sought $2,000 cash/surety bail, saying MacDonald has a December 2012 probation violation and a November 2011 drug conviction.

Lyons set bail at the amount requested by the prosecutor, but it will not take effect until a 72-hour probation hold is resolved.

Trial on the stalking charge was set for March 21.

Auto body shop is victim

James Laroche Jr., 26, of 225 Grove St., pleaded innocent Wednesday in Circuit Court-Manchester District Division to a misdemeanor charge of theft by unauthorized taking. He is accused of taking $625 in cash from Dan's City Auto Body. 272 Sheiffield Road.

Conditions of Laroche's $1,500 personal recognizance bail bar contact with two named women and with the business.

Trial was set for April 11.
