NHIAA Roundup: Gilmore leads the way as Derryfield boys win

Josh Gilmore had a game-high 12 points and six rebounds to lead host Derryfield of Manchester to a 53-26 victory over Portsmouth Christian on Thursday.

Tyler Zorn scored 11 and Roger Larrivee had 10 points, six rebounds and six blocks as Derryfield (12-4) won its third straight.

Dover 79, Londonderry 60: In Londonderry, Josh Cote netted 22 points and Billy Carroll added 18 for the 7-7 Green Wave. Cody Ball poured in 17 points for the Lancers (4-10).



Boys' hockey



Manchester Memorial 9, Bishop Brady 4: Brendan Sullivan and Brady McNulty each scored a pair of goals as Manchester Memorial routed visiting Bishop Brady of Concord on Thursday.

The Crusaders jumped out to a 4-0 lead after one period and led by seven before Craig Hering scored the first goal for Bishop Brady late in the second period.

Bedford 1, Bow 1: In Concord at the Everett Arena, Bedford's Kurt Mitchell and Bow's Chris Fournier exchanged goals 29 seconds apart in the third period. Bedford goalie Steve Tempesta had 30 saves and Bow goalie Conner Simpson turned back 17 shots. Bedford is 9-3-2 and Bow is 9-3-4.



Girls' basketball



Winnisquam 53, Newfound 50: Dallis Austin scored 13 points, Angie Roy 11 for the winners, who improved to 12-6. Amber Plummer (19) and Karissa Bony (15) tallied 15 apiece for Newfound.

Epping 47, Derryfield 31: In Epping, Sarah Nadeau scored 20 points, including 15 in the second half, for Epping. Nadeau connected on two straight three-point baskets in the third period when the hosts (5-12) took a 26-19 lead. Hannah Comeau netted 14 points and Hannah Menakaya added 10 for the Cougars, who ended their regular season at 7-11.

Goffstown 45, Hollis/Brookline 37: In Goffstown, Molly McQueeney had nine points including four in the last stanza for Goffstown, 11-6. Rene Roggenbuck had nine points and Kathryn Howe netted eight. Ellie Flaum had 18 for Hollis/Brookline, 11-4.

Londonderry 72, Dover 39: Aliza Simpson had a game-high 19 points to pace Londonderry past Dover. Taylor Collins and Casey Evans chipped in with 10 points apiece for the Lancers. Mercedes McDermott led Dover with nine points.

Bow 50, Raymond 22: Lindsey Nerbonne had eight points to lead 11 Bow scorers in a win against host Raymond. Kirsten Bresson scored seven and Taylor Marston chipped in with six for Bow (17-1). Amanda McGee had a team-high seven points for Raymond (3-14).
