MEREDITH - Rescue crews helped two people and a dog escape a pickup truck that fell through the ice of Meredith Bay late Saturday night, according to police.

The truck was leaving the ice near the town docks when it sunk into about 10 feet of water just after 10 p.m., according to Meredith Police Sgt. Mike Harper.

The occupants of the truck were not injured, Harper said.
