House judiciary panel recommends abortion waiting period bill be killed
The committee voted Tuesday, 13-6, to recommend the bill be killed.
Last year the Senate killed what is called the informed consent bill, which was nearly identical to HB 483.
The earliest the bill would come before the House would be March 6.
"We commend today's committee vote which recognizes that New Hampshire women should have nonjudgmental and accurate information about all options regarding pregnancy and that this information should support a woman and help her make a decision for herself, without the interference of politicians," said Jennifer Frizzell, senior policy adviser with Planned Parenthood of Northern New England.
The organization opposed the bill.
