Manchester man arrested for alleged bail conditions violations

MANCHESTER - A city man who was arrested Sunday for allegedly assaulting and threatening his wife was arrested at Circuit Court-Manchester District Division Tuesday for violating bail conditions.

Murad Bondarenko, 26, of 235 Agnes St., was scheduled for arraignment Tuesday on charges that allege he punched his wife on the right shulder and told her: "I hate you. I want to kill you."

But when he was seen at Circuit Court in conversation with his wife, before his case was called, he was arrested and charged with stalking and violation of bail conditions.

Bondarenko had been released on $1,000 cash/surety bail after his initial arrest, with conditions barring contact with his wife and barring him from their residence.

He was arraigned Wednesday on all charges, and trial was set for March 25. Police prosecutors filed a motion to revoke Bondarenko's bail and a hearing was set for Thursday morning.

Booking process

A woman who was charged with disorderly conduct for yelling and screaming obscenities after her arrest on a charge of driving while intoxicated on Hanover Street Tuesday evening was arraigned in Circuit Court-Manchester District Division on Wednesday.

Bail was set at $1,000 personal recognizance for Janet Marston, 48, of 1265 Bodwell Road, with a requirement that she return to the Manchester Police Department to complete the booking process before she can be released. Marston's bail conditions bar her from consuming alcohol.

Court documents show a police officer went to the Hanover Street area in response to a report of an intoxicated woman operating a vehicle about 7:30 p.m. The officer reported that he arrested Marston and while they were awaiting the transport vehicle, she began yelling and screaming and tried to pull away from him.

Trial was set for April 30.

Marijuana odor prompts search warrant request

A police officer patroling the area of 28 Dutton St. for suspicious activity shortly before 4 a.m. Friday approached a vehicle driven by Jonathan Bishop Sullivan, 22, of 450 Maple St., and noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

The officer had arrested Bishop Sullivan previously on a drug possession charge and arrested him again. But after Bishop Sullivan left the vehicle, the strong odor of marijuana persisted, so the officer secured the vehicle and applied for a search warrant.

Court documents show that with the search warrant in hand, two officers examined the vehicle. They reported finding an aerosol can with a removable bottom that contained 14 plastic baggies of marijuana.

Police said they also found a backpack containing 77 small bags of marijuana weighing a total of 7.9 ounces. Inside a second backpack, they found a sock containing four bags of marijuana totaling 1.1 ounces. Also found in the backpacks was $1,250 in bills.

Bishop Sullivan was charged with a felony of sale of a controlled drug and a probable cause hearing was set for March 5. Bail was set at $5,000 cash/surety.
