Students dismissed early after Sanborn High threat

KINGSTON - Students at Sanborn Regional High School were dismissed early Thursday after a bomb threat was reported at the school.
Police were called to the school around noon to investigate the threat. Superintendent Brian Blake said students were evacuated to the gym and then dismissed based on the advice of the police chief.
"While we don't believe there was any imminent danger, we took the precautions nonetheless. We anticipate that students will be back in school tomorrow," Blake said.
Rockingham County Sheriff Michael Downing said nothing was found at the school by 1 p.m., but the investigation continued. Blake said authorities plan to review surveillance video to determine the person responsible for the threat.
The school serves students from Fremont, Kingston and Newton.
