NHIAA Boys' Hockey: Pinkerton outskates Salem

Nick Corsetto picked up a loose puck outside his own blue line, skated past one defenseman and used another as a screen to lift the game-winning goal past Salem netminder Nick Phair, giving Pinkerton of Derry a 2-1 Division I boys' hockey victory over the Blue Devils at the Salem Icenter Saturday.

The Astros, with a 10-8 record, took a 1-0 first period lead on a Connor Brady goal with an assist to Corsetto.

Salem's Matt Survilas tied the game at 6:49 of the second period, capitalizing on assists from Kyle Svenson and Alex Ring.

Both early game goals came on power plays.

Phair finished the game with 24 saves, while Pinkerton goalie Matt Marchman made 30.
