NH gets share of settlement with Midwest coal-fired electricity maker
American Electric Power Co. (AEP) agreed to significantly reduce sulfur-dioxide emissions from Midwest coal-fired power plants and pay an additional $8.5 million in an agreement with eight states that builds upon an air-pollution accord in 2007 that aimed to mitigate acid rain.
