46th annual NH State Home Show this weekend
MANCHESTER -- THE HOME BUILDERS & Remodelers Association of New Hampshire will hold the 46th annual New Hampshire State Home Show this weekend, starting Friday and continuing through Sunday, and New Horizons for New Hampshire will be the beneficiary of a great deal of food to be collected from patrons who attend the event.
Dick Benson, chair of this year's home show for the HBRANH, said, "We hope to exceed the one and one half tons of food that attendees to last year's show graciously contributed. Our association believes in supporting this important program of New Horizons and we urge everyone to bring items in and enjoy a small discount to attend this great show."
The state's largest and oldest home show will take place at the Center of New Hampshire/Radisson Hotel complex in downtown Manchester, and consumers will be impressed with the wide array of new home building, remodeling, and decorating products and services.
The show is produced by the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of New Hampshire and sponsored by PSNH. It will consist of more than 325 exhibitors covering 65,000 square feet. Additional major sponsors are Merrimack County Savings Bank and Liberty Utilities.
Show hours are Friday from 1 to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. General admission is $9 per person, $6 for seniors (65-plus), and free for children under 12 when accompanied by an adult.
Visit www.nhstatehomeshow.com for $2 discount coupons or bring two non-perishable food items and receive a $3 discount on admission.
The latest in home-related products and services will be showcased - everything from mortgages to landscaping, hot tubs to custom home builders, and custom closets to fabulous kitchens.
The show continues all year online at the expanded www.homeshowallyear.com. Visit the website for all kinds of information about home building and remodeling and revisit all of the exhibitors, products and resources at the show.
Also, at Cedar Mill Group's booth in the North Hall, golfers of all abilities can take a chance to win a 2013 CANAM Spyder RT-S roadster touring motorcycle with retail value of over $25,000. They may also try out the PGA tour simulator for free.
Many raffles from vendors include a chance to win a Kindle Fire from Lewis Builders and an E-Bike - the motor assisted bicycle - from E-Bikes New England in the lobby of the North Hall.
Expect to find Charlie "the Sherm" Sherman, executive director of New Horizons, roaming the halls throughout the weekend. Attendees who bring two non-perishable food items will receive a $3 coupon toward admission to the show from one of Charlie's volunteers.
Once again, the show has crafts and specialty food items in the New England Craft and Food Artisans' Pavilion in the South Concourse area.
Several consumer workshops and seminars will take place. Visit the website at www.NHHomeShow.com for more details or to pick up a schedule at the ticket counter.
