Weare man indicted on 41 counts of child pornography

MANCHESTER - A Weare man has been indicted by the Hillsborough County Superior Court North Grand Jury on 41 counts of felony possession of child sexual abuse images.

William Panagiotopolos, 41, of 52 Norris Road, has been held since his arrest last fall. Panagiotopolos' criminal record includes pleas to two charges each of domestic assault and domestic criminal threatening of his mother and stepfather in June 2009.

Among other February grand jury indictments:

A Concord man faces upgraded charges in the Oct. 26, 2012, shooting death of his father in the father's Hevey Street residence in Manchester.

Evan C. Smith, 29, then of 20 Bog Road, was originally charged with second-degree murder for shooting his father, Philip Smith, in the head.

At the time of Smith's arraignment in Circuit Court-Manchester District Division, Senior Assistant Attorney General Janice Rundles said Smith was initally charged with knowingly causing the death, but that charge might be upgraded. First-degree murder alleges Smith purposely cause the death of his father by shooting him.

Two men were indicted on charges of felony criminal mischief and misdemeanor attempted theft by unauthorized taking.

Ronnie Mac Stephens, 28, of 386 Dubuque St., and Christopher Tessier, 38, of 437 Rimmon St., are accused of attempting to steal gasoline from a U-Haul truck on Daniel Webster Highway Jan. 4 by using a drill on a fuel tank, causing a fire that heavily damaged two box trucks and partially damaged a third truck.

A city man accused of slapping his girlfriend's two-month-old baby when the baby wouldn't stop crying on Christmas Day 2012 was indicted on a second-degree assault charge. Brian Reeves, 33, of 284 Spruce St., who is not the baby's father, is accused of hitting the baby, causing bruising and a swollen eye. At the time of his arrest, Reeves told police he is a veteran and suffers from post traumatic stress disorder.

Brystal Razo, 23, of 5 Pinvon Place, Derry, was indicted on a felony robbery charge, accused of pepper spraying a Rite Aid loss prevention associate who confronted her about merchandise she was stealing from a Manchester store Aug. 21, 2012.

A 64-year-old Bedford man was indicted on a felonious sexual assault charge Sept. 1, 2012, involving a girl under age 13. David Bryant, of 391 Donald St., was also indicted on misdemeanor charges of simple assault and indecent exposure involving the same person.

A convicted sex offender was indicted on a second-degree assault charge that accuses him of applying pressure to his girlfriend's neck, causing her to experience impeded breathing, blood circulation or a change in voice Dec. 26, 2012. Jerome Carter, 37, who listed the homeless shelter as his address, was also indicted on two felony charges of change of address; duty to inform for providing a false permanent address Dec. 20 and failing to report leaving a previous address within five days on Dec. 27, 2012.

Anthony Payton, 37, of 123 Pleasant St., was indicted on nine felony charges of sale of a controlled drug (cocaine) between April and September 2012. Payton, who was convicted of possession of a controlled drug with intent to sell in 2006, said at his arraignment in Circuit Court-Manchester District Division earlier this month that he was focused on his entertainment company, Perfect Place Entertainment. Police said Payton had cocaine in his possession when arrested Feb. 4 at a Cumberland Farms store on Valley Street.

A city man was indicted on two misdemeanors charges each of unfair or deceptive acts or practices and theft by unauthorized taking in connection with taking funds for new roofs and failing to do so. Roger Bernier, 47, of 924 Clay St., doing business as 5 Below Exteriors, is accused of taking a $2,000 deposit for a new roof in Salem and taking a $3,780 for a new roof in Manchester and failing to provide the promised goods and services and purposely refusing to return the money.

Three teenagers were indicted on felony charges of burglary (2), conspiracy to commit burglary, first-degree assault and robbery in connection with a break-in at a Loundsbury Road residence in Peterborough Dec. 24, 2012.

Austin Cadorette, 18, and Dylan Cadorette, 17, both of 24 Blanchard Hill Road, Greenfield, and Isaac Lyons, 17, of 40 Concord St., Antrim, are accused of bringing a gun to the residence and entering it to commit a theft and striking a 17-year-old in the head with the firearm. A 17-year-old was struck in the head with the firearm, causing a laceration.
