Nearly 10% of payroll in Seacoast towns goes to overtime
Rye employees were paid $3,066,743 in base wages in 2012 and $302,836 in overtime. Town employees also received $61,785 for details, which are reimbursed to the town by outside agencies.
In Greenland, public employees received $808,500 in regular wages, $73,396 in overtime and $114,133 in outside details. Greenland has only 12 full-time employees, and seven of them are police officers.
