Harris Lodge to elect officers at annual meeting
WARNER - Harris Lodge No. 91 A.F. & A.M. will have its annual meeting Wednesday, March 6, at the lodge, 17 Church St.
Dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. The lodge will open at 7:30 p.m. The Masons will elect officers for the coming year and hear various reports from the officers.
Harris Lodge leaders are urging all members to attend this important meeting. Members from other lodges also are welcome.
Salem Woman's Club to meet Tuesday
SALEM - The Salem Woman's Club will meet at noon Tuesday at Kelley Library, 234 Main St.
After lunch, members will discuss ongoing community projects, including Pennies for Paws donations for the Salem Animal Rescue League.
Members are reminded to bring their completed knitted or crocheted scarves for students, staff, faculty and first responders in Newtown, Conn. The General Federation of Women's Club's national goal is to make at least 600 scarves for its GFWC Connecticut Scarves for Sandy Hook Project.
Information will given on the club's mystery ride in April and the GFWC New England Regional Conference in September in Hampton Beach.
New members are always welcome. The club meets the first Tuesday of each month, except in June, July and August. For more information, call Co-presidents Dorothy Falco at 898-4625 or Beverly Johnson at 893-0283.
Derry Garden Club to focus on landscape design Friday
DERRY - The Derry Garden Club will meet at 10 a.m. Friday at the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Derry, 40 Hampstead Road.
Club member Paul Lynch, owner of PL Landscapes Custom Landscape Design in Derry, will give a program on "Creating the Comfortable Landscape."
The public is invited. For more information about the club, which is a member of the N.H. Federation of Garden Clubs District IV, New England Region and of the National Garden Club, call 566-6479 or go to derrygardenclub.org.
Reprisal DAR to open new year with March 9 meeting
NEWPORT - The Reprisal Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution of Newport will host its first meeting of the year at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 9, in the New London home of Barbara Hurley.
Cynthia Sweeney will present a program on women's rights.
This is an open meeting and handicap accessible. For more information, call Regent Pat McCabe at 477-0859.
