Police find pounds of drugs, loaded guns in home
Police received a tip that Thorpe was selling marijuana, and discovered he was shipping drugs through the mail. Because of this information, a search warrant was obtained for his home.
A search of Thorpe's home Thursday yielded about a pound of ecstasy powder, an undisclosed amount of the opiate suboxone, and eight pounds of "pre-packaged" marijuana.
The collective street value of the drugs was estimated at $50,000.
A loaded Glock 27 .40-caliber handgun, a loaded SCCY 9 millimeter handgun, ammunition, gun parts, a scale and packaging materials were also uncovered in the search. Thorpe did not have a permit for the weapons, nor was he of age to own them. Rifles may be owned by 18-year-olds in New Hampshire, but only at 21 can a handgun be owned.
Police said Thorpe will be charged for illegal weapon possession in the near future.
