Airmen with NH ties complete basic training
Air Force Airman 1st Class Chance J. Trybe and Airman Alexander J. Stavrinos and Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Jareth C. Belanger graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
The airmen completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Trybe is the son of Richard Trybe of Hudson. He is a 2008 graduate of Cocoa Beach High School in Florida.
Stavrinos, the son of Jean and John Stavrinos of Nashua, is a 2012 graduate of Nashua High School North.
Belanger, the son of Charlene Belanger of Goffstown, is a 2008 graduate of Goffstown Area High School.
Army sergeants from NH return from overseas
Army Sgts. Eric J. Martinez and Nathan S. Raymond have returned to the United States after being deployed overseas at a forward operating base to serve in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, the official name given to anti-terrorism military operations involving U.S. troops and allied coalition partners.
Both men are assigned to the 4th Airborne Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska.
Martinez is a motor transport operator who has served in the military for five years. He is the son of Adelaide Hernandez of Pelham and Juan Martinez of Nashua and a 2006 graduate of Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School, Haverhill, Mass.
Raymond, who has served in the military for seven years, is a team leader with the division. He is a 2004 graduate of Souhegan High School, Amherst.
Army Reserve private finishes basic training
Army Reserve Pvt. Julianna R. Lepore has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
During the nine weeks of training, she studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values and received instruction in combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy and justice and field training exercises.
Lepore is the daughter of Michael Lepore of Reading, Mass., and Susan Keegan of Nashua.
