Police: Keene woman, 18, lied about rape
After an investigation into the incident, police learned that Newell lied about being raped and that she actually consented to the sex, Ramey wrote. Newell later told police that “once she made up the lie, she was going to stand by it,” according to the affidavit. The man was never charged.
