IDG founder Patrick McGovern remains New Hampshire's lone billionaire

Patrick McGovern, 75, of Hollis is the founder and chairman of International Data Group, a publishing, events, media and research company. He studied neurobiology at MIT while working for Computers & Automation, the first computer magazine in the U.S. He founded IDG in 1964 with $5,000 he made from selling his car and launched Computerworld magazine three years later.
