Lorraine Skaltsis hearing Thurs. on $2m in debt
The bankruptcy case comes after Lorraine’s husband, Nickolas, was charged with 19 felony counts of theft for operating a fraudulent investment scheme, where 21 local residents expected their money to be acquired, rehabilitated and managed in real estate in Strafford County. They were promised anywhere from 4 percent to 24 percent interest. Nickolas raised $327,500 and all but one investor has yet to see their money returned.
