PORTSMOUTH - Water Country will host its first summer job fair March 23 as it seeks to fill more than 400 positions for the upcoming season.

The water park needs to fill roles within aquatics, admissions, rentals, greeters, bag checkers, cabana attendants, park services, EMT, group sales, retails, landscaping, parking, water technicians and security.

Prior experience is not required, and all necessary training is provided, including lifeguard training and licensing if applicable.

Interested applicants are encouraged to fill out the online application prior to attending the job fair for their in-person interview with a hiring manager.

The job fair is being held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the park's administrative offices at 2300 Lafayette Road in Portsmouth.

Additional employment opportunities are also available for Water Country's in-park concessions and air-brush tattoo vendors, who will schedule their own separate interviews with interested applicants.

Although many of the positions are filled by high school and college students, the park is also looking for parents, teachers and retired people looking for a little extra summer cash and a flexible schedule.

Water Country is open June through Labor Day.
